Overview

An iPhone local-AI voice mood journal built with Apple MLX and Qwen3.

This privacy policy applies to Mood Button. Product delivery may happen through App Store, Chrome Web Store, GitHub Releases, or the linked product website depending on the product page.

Data Handling

Recordings, transcripts, diary text, mood labels, search terms, and skin preferences stay on device. The bundled Qwen3 MLX model runs locally and user content is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, ChatGPT, or other hosted third-party AI services. Apple Speech may process speech recognition under iOS system behavior, and optional weather uses Open-Meteo with rounded coordinates after Location permission.

Mood Button Data Flow

Mood Button is a private voice mood diary. It has no account system, no advertising SDK, no third-party analytics SDK, no social feed, and no developer cloud diary service.

Voice recordingsStored in the app sandbox for diary review. They are not uploaded to a Hooosberg server.

Transcripts and diary textStored locally with SwiftData and used for journal, calendar, timeline, search, export, and review.

Mood labels, keywords, and search termsUsed locally to organize and find entries. They are not sent to third-party AI services.

Skin and language preferencesStored locally to remember app settings and optional Home Skin unlock state.

Local AI and Third-Party AI

The app bundles Qwen3 MLX model files and uses Apple MLX on supported physical iPhone devices for local diary shaping. It does not call OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, ChatGPT, or any other hosted third-party AI API. Recordings, transcripts, diary text, mood labels, keywords, search terms, and location/weather context are not sent to third-party AI services.

Apple Speech and Optional Weather

Speech recognition uses Apple Speech. Depending on the device, language, iOS version, and system settings, recognition may happen on device or through Apple's speech service under Apple's privacy terms. Optional weather uses Location permission only when the user allows it; the app requests weather from Open-Meteo with rounded coordinates and stores the returned weather snapshot locally with the diary context.

In-App Purchases

The optional non-consumable purchase Unlock Home Skins is handled by Apple App Store and StoreKit. Mood Button stores a local unlock state for Home Skins. Hooosberg does not receive the user's Apple ID, payment method, billing address, or App Store account credentials.

Export and Deletion

Users can export local diary text through app export flows when available and can delete local records in the app. Deleted records are removed from the app's local review, search, and export surfaces. Uninstalling the app removes its sandbox data according to iOS behavior.

Platform Services

When you download, purchase, update, or review this product through Apple, Google, GitHub, Chrome Web Store, or another platform, that platform may process account, payment, device, crash, or store activity data under its own privacy policy.
