alternatives
Regional alternatives
Claude is strong at long context and stable writing. Kimi covers long documents, DeepSeek covers reasoning, and Qwen covers Chinese plus model ecosystem needs.
Gemini connects to Google Search and Workspace. Regional alternatives should be judged by Chinese search, document, and multimodal experience.
Codex is repository-level. For Chinese users, start with Kimi Code's agentic coding entry, then compare WorkBuddy / CodeBuddy's task-delivery workspace and TRAE Work's developer-agent route.
If the standard is not chat but a Mac client, local files, browser control, code/terminal access, and long-running tasks, the first Chinese tier is Kimi Work and WorkBuddy, while TRAE Work is more developer-oriented.
Claude Code is about terminal workflows and project understanding. Regional paths often start with Kimi Code, TRAE Work, or an open-source agent plus a local/provider model.
NotebookLM is strong at source-grounded learning. Chinese alternatives should prioritize long-document ability and Chinese source access.
The value is answers with sources. In Chinese contexts, source coverage and summary quality matter more than feature parity.
Midjourney remains a visual-quality benchmark. Regional alternatives should be judged by Chinese prompts, model community, templates, and video links.
